Day 02: Glasgow- Sterling Castle, Loch Lomond and Whiskey Trail
Today travel to Stirling Castle and Loch Lomond in style and enjoy a wee dram of whisky. See the unsurpassed beauty of the Scottish Highlands while travelling.
Stirling Castle was Scotland’s most important medieval stronghold and is set high on a volcanic outcrop. Leaving Stirling, you’ll travel past Doune Castle, Callander and into the Trossachs. The tour stops for a leisurely lunch (own expense) outside the village of Aberfoyle. After lunch, continue to the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond, Scotland’s largest loch where you can enjoy a walk before heading to the picturesque Distillery of Glengoyne. You can choose to take an optional tour of the distillery (additional cost) or visit the shop. Evening return to Glasgow. Overnight at Glasgow.
Day 04: Edinburgh
Today you can take optional tour of Loch Ness and the Scottish Highlands. A fantastic tour from Edinburgh to explore the legendary myths of Loch Ness and enjoy the diverse range of Scottish Highland scenery. Drive through the forests and rivers of Highland Perthshire and get a glimpse of dramatic Glen Coe – the site of the Massacre of Glencoe. See Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles, and enjoy a typical Scottish picnic lunch before taking in magnificent views of the Forth Bridge. Or you can use your Hop on Hop off bus ticket and enjoy the city at your own pace. Overnight at Edinburgh.
